Looks really nie, but I just think the first guy ius sitting the wrong way round, I would expet him to look at the passing Germans, or even spit at them.. ... or he has already seen enough of these captured Germans.

This was based on a HJ documentary where a Russian tank is rolling down a road and the captured Germans are just moving out of the way like a wave.

In my pursuit of ever better figures, I gave Vallejo plastic putty a go at filling in the gaps. And I am well impressed. Used it neat, with a brush I painted on the seam. Then with water I cleared the excess. So much easier than using glue and bits of sprue and so much easier to tidy up.

The plastic putty shrunk a bit so in the end I needed another application but the join has turned out very smooth. Started on the face, the eyes are very big, just like a Japanese manga character.

Thanks snipersmudge, Ian and Paul. With a very watered down sunny skin tone, a bit of lipstick and rouge and I think we are done. Onto painting the overalls.

So here is the lady with a gloss coat. I am thinking some bags at her feet: a bento and a make up bag.

Thanks Paul Ian and armorguy. Used Tamiya panel line brown as a wash and cleaned most of it off to add definition to the overalls. Turned out well. May revisit the face, but will see when the cab is done.

Started work on the figures for Stalingrad, but won’t be using the horseman. It’s a fact, it is so much easier to paint a face that has a lot of definition than a bland one. Therefore the two master box casualties are so much better.

Thanks Ian. I will just be using the two master box characters. The machine gunner is just a dork, standing there like that. Still he is a good few decades old.
