Here we go again, maybe. After doing the big 1/16 guy and a few night shifts later. Black primer then white from above. A couple of coats of very thin base colour. The darkest you got. This is brown rose. Mix your base colour with a very dark colour to make the shadows. So brown rose with some slate grey and paint the shadows. Do not worry about precision. Back to your base colour and just tidy the face up. More to come. I have broken the golden rule and done some modeling with a couple of rathe nice Sauvignon Blanc inside of me.!!!!

Thanks bwilt. Well, I think the trick worked. See for yourself. With the shadows done first, it is so much easier to do the highlights. I think the humidity also helped. Drying time was a lot slower so I had more time to blend.

Here is my latest on a 1/16. Step 1 base colour rose brown Step 2 shadow base colour + slate grey Step 3. Eyes Step 4 tidy up with base colour Step 5 highlights sunny skin tone Step 6 blending with base colour and highlight colour That’s it so far.

For the eyes
Off white, then light grey brown for the iris.
Light green blue for flecks of colour..
Slate grey for the pupil. I used a very fine brush which came with a figure painting brush set. Never thought I’d use it.

Speaking of eyes. Six pairs of eye decals. Are they that difficult to use?
