Looking great. What glue will you use for the tracks?
I find that glue dissolves the paint rather than sticks the parts together so I usually build and then paint them whole off the vehicle.

Marco, thank you, I'll remember and give it a go. Have you used their Lucky Varnish? I didn't find that any good.
Robbo, thank you. It's a nice little kit. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Tommy, thank you. I will use a white PVA glue so it won't dissolve the paint. The one I use is called Formula '560' canopy glue. I'm using it more and more to hold any detail pieces in place. Any overspill can be cleaned off without effecting the paint.

That’s the way to paint tracks! I made the mistake of taking all 102 links off the sprue and now I’m having to mess about making link and length sections to paint. Very nice progress and paint buddy

Cheers Boots and, Steve. Marco, thank you. When I used Gloss Lucky Varnish, it peeled away like a skin when I put the wash on it. It also just rubbed off with water. I never did find out what caused it. I even contacted Ammo Mig and sent them a photo, but never heard anything back from them. Wheels and tracks done. I assembled the bogies and wheels. I then assembled the tracks the way Pete suggested to me, which worked out just fine. I did notice on the first side I done, even though it went together no problem, it was a little on the snug side. I thought this was down to me and not Tamiya. Sure enough, when looking closely at the links, some needed a tiny amount cleaned off from where I had removed it from the sprue. After trimming them, the other side went together perfectly. If you look in the photo at the front tracks, you can see where the paint was removed after I cleaned them up. It was only on a few, but the fit is so good, it made a difference. Note to self, Next time clean the ends up properly after removing them from the sprue! I've got a little touching up with a paint brush to do on the tracks, and that will be the lower half of the hull finished.

Joe, that why we don't build cars or other shiny things Some times I use the old and gold Future, with good results and low cost The runnage looks fantastic!

Paul, Tommy, Boots, Marco, Guy, Pete, and, Ian.. Cheers chaps. Muchly appreciated. I've glued the remaining side armour in place. The grey primed parts are what I left when applying the top coat and wasn't concentrating on what I was doing. The shells are in place temporarily in case I loose one. A few areas still need a bit of primer, then I can finish the top coat. I still have the gun to paint, the tools, and the crew. It's been a while since I've painted figures so, they might look like something Jamie Lee Curtis had a go at in My Girl.

You're not hanging around with this one Joe . Good idea keeping the ammo in the vehicle, I'll have to remember that one

Don’t worry about loosing a round or two. Spent and discarded ammo is perfectly natural.
