Thank you Paul, Guy, Boots, Pete, and, Tommy.I've finished the Dark Yellow and finished constructing the gun. I can add a couple more bits before I attempt the camouflage pattern. Other parts that will wait until I've finished painting are, the radio, spare track and various tools.

Thank you Pete and, Tommy.I've made a start painting the figures. I'm not really up the on uniform colours. The instructions indicate X-65 Field Grey, but the box art along with the model images on their website looks more of a green to me. I'm not a stickler to the correct shade, but I would like to get it a bit half right. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Image from Tamiya website for reference only.

After wear and washing clothes change colour and or bleach in the sun. I wouldn’t be too concerned about it, if I were you.

Smooth paint application Joe! Looks very good. About the figures, once upon a time when I built and painted figures (long time ago), I used to use Field Grey to paint German uniforms and they looks like the pics form Tamiya site.

XF-65 Field grey is more of a green colour. You’ll be fine with it.

Thank you PaulI gave the shells a coat of Mig Metal Old Brass. I also mounted the figures on a disc so I can start to paint them. I didn't have the correct colour, so I've ordered some online.

I really like the AMMO metal colors. They are very good and you did a very good job on those shells

I saw one of those citadel holders. Bit pricey in Japan and as for citadel paints - they are so expensive over here!!!!
I can get 3 Tamiya for the price of 1 citadel. What’s it like where you are.

Tommy, I think I paid about £5 for mine from my LHS. But that was a about 18 months ago. This is the first time I've actually used it and I find it ok. I used coins with a serrated edge for a bit more grip and double sided tape to hold the figures in place. Ive never used the paint, but after looking online it ranges from £2.75p to £4.75p.

Thank you Pete, Boots, and ian.
The paint arrived yesterday so I can carry on with the figures in the next day or so. I went for the Ammo Mig German Field Grey Uniforms figures set.
The Marder is ready for the camouflage pattern. I'll wait until I'm in the mood or I'll only muck it up.
