The scratches look bloody good Pete, that is about all these vehicles would have had . How did you make the camnets, they look rather familiar ?

Yeap my thoughts exactly regarding the scratches Paul. Camnets where my usual method mate, gauze bandage followed by tamiya tape. So simple but so effective.

Iโm going to give your camo net method a go. Thanks gents, Tommy, it's a very easy method, just soak some gauze or whatever in diluted PVA glue or similar, place on the model then position as required and let it dry. If you are careful it can easily be removed or painted in situ. Washes have gone on now & I've used the modellers world wash again the tones being industrial dirt & black brown. I'm really impressed with this stuff, as you can see it's a very fine pigment and effect. Not grainy in the slightest and it can be thinned with white spirit etc to use as a filter. So far I've done two passes and it's really popping the details, especially on the weld beads. I've also worked on the spare tracks adding firstly a diluted wash of vallejo colours before several layers of the washes. So far I'm liking the effect, much more subtle than my usual chipping with rust tones. A few more layers should work well on them I think.

Yes, it deserves something quite splendid; a bridge crossing, or something like that.

Yes, it deserves something quite splendid; a bridge crossing, or something like that. I thought that too . Matchbox had something similar with one of their "all in kits" back in the day
