Back in action and decals arrived. These are Lifelike Decals from Japan and this is really a beautiful sheet with plenty of reference material provided. So I am going to go with option #2 which is a Ki-100 from the 111th Sentai flown by Major Yohei Hinoki. Major Hinoki was a former Ki-43 Hayabusa pilot who lost his leg in a dogfight with a Mustang in Burma but went on to recover and finish the war with 12 kills.

The decals are on Maj. Hinoki's Ki-100 and they are really nice. They laid down really well and lots of reference material provided by Lifelike Decals. I also added some fluid leaks and stains using oils. I am going to add a few bullet patches as well and there is one bubble in the insignia I have to get out. I also added a wash of Pledge Floor Care tinted with Acryl Black for the wheel bay covers and the wheel bays themselves. I also got the Squadron vacuform canopy masked with Washi Tape. Almost done!
