Thanks Paul. It’s nearly barrels time. What’s the best way to glue them together, without getting a seam down the middle? Any recommendations?

Tommy, this is how I glue gun barrels (and other long seams) together. I use Revell Contacta glue as it takes longer to set. I put it on both sides thick enough to produce a raised bead of glue along the length (see photo). This will also act as a filler when left overnight to harden. This can then be scrapped off, and rubbed down with Micro-Mesh or fine wet and dry.

Pretty much the same as Joe on the joining of the barrel halves Tommy

It's rare for me to use plastic barrels, but when I do it's the same as Joe mentioned. After removing the main seem, I will put them in a drill and spin them using a fine sanding sponge, this helps keep them round whilst removing the last bits Just don't tighten the chuck too much, and also use the rear end which attaches to the breach.

Yeap, as above that's what I do, I always glue the barrels just before I go to bed or leave the bench then sand the next day. That way it's fully dried and solid.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will definitely do that. As for the lower hull, Mr surfacer 1200 is on and the detail that shows up is amazing. See for yourself.

My patience has been well and truly tested. Lost two titchy tiny bits somewhere and after looking for ages, it turns out they won’t be visible anyway. Just got to put on the tow cables and the build is basically done (glass work and antenna left). But it is proving to be a right bl@@dy pain in the a.....
Turns out the PE is for model C. I wondered why the man in the shop couldn’t get it for me.
