You will find it Alex. When I want to remember something important, I take a photo of it on my phone so I can see where I left it. As soon as I find my phone, I'll know where I've put my car keys. 🤔

Well...I think this one is about all wrapped up. It was actually finished a while back but don't tell any one.
With dash recovered the assembly was basically done. I just sort of put the unattached bits together in an attached formation. I fit the stretcher. I've seen photos of what looks to be a support bar. I've also seen photos where the stretcher was laying the passenger side supported by the rear and dash. I went with the latter...it looks sort of improvised.
I also debated on having the driver seated, hurt dude on stretcher, and attending medic seated next to the stretcher on the rear deck. I have the figures put to the side and will have to settle on just what I will do once the overall dio starts coming together. The driver is sporting a late uniform so if I use him I'll have to modify his pants and give him a pair of boots.
Finished her up with a light wash, a drybrushing of red-brown and dark tan, and tied it all together with a heavy dusting. For markings, I went with a medical vehicle from IR GD. I use to model most of my WW2 German stuff as GD subjects so this is sort of getting back to that. Decals are a mix...the number plates are from the kit and the GD and ambulance markings come from the spares. The red cross emblems were spares box specials trimmed down and placed on hand-painted white circles. I wanted it to look a bit rough so they aren't perfect.

With that done, the VW goes in to the project box with rest of the diorama stuff. I'll probably start working on the layout.
Anyway, the Tamiya kit really is a nice kit. It assembles easy and spot on. My only gripe is the suspension which is pretty delicate. Watch out adding them wheels.

Thanks all.
I'll probably will start the diorama planning in the next few days. I'll do its own thread over in the Diorama Section. I have a general idea...German push into Russia.
