The good ole bandage gauze is the way to go Eric, also the tea leaves will be a must for this one. Anything else I reckon would be out of scale, those Bundeswehr cam-nets have very small meshing and the disruptive patches are also very intricate.

Yeap I know that model! Tis my old mucker Brian's! It's his fav method for camo netting and he's quite a master at it now. Be sure to use loose tea though not the stuff in tea bags as it's much too fine for the effect. He soaks the gauze in some diluted white glue before wicking the access on a paper towel. Then the netting can be placed in position and left to dry. Then again using some white glue brushed onto the netting sprinkle the tea leaves onto this.
This is all done before any paint has gone on the model or after primer but before main colour.

Thanks everyone this helps out a lot! Do you think giving the leaves a spin in a coffee grinder would be appropriate to help get it into scale? Might also build a practice thingy to work this out and the painting as well.

Good thinking Eric, give it a try first so you know what to expect. You can soak the gauze in thinned wood glue or even better, Microscale white glue. I use tweezers and wet brushes to drape the camo net. It's a sticky move you're about to make but I'm 100% sure you'll pull it off.

Definitely have a practice, I'd go for something like a loose english breakfast tea which should be the right size and grade for your needs. Failing that perhaps dried herbs would also be suitable.

Made it back to the bench this past week, so finally got the fenders wrapped up for the most part. Must have punched out another 200 discs for all the connection bolts. Got a few more things to add but will work them in as I finish up the nose area. Comments Always Welcome and Thanks for Stopping In.
