Chaps I know I have been slacking here, the reason for this is the figures . I can't bloody find a figure that fits in the turret, so bollards to that idea. She has been buttoned up now and some stupid PE parts added (gawd I hate that stuff). Maybe, just maybe I might get this to primer stage tomorrow

Well Paul, those PE parts look flawlessly folded! You can put a figgie next to the tank later on?!

Blimey Mr B you snuck this one past me.
Lovely tank and I'm sure you'll do a sterling job building it for us

It’s a strange turret hatch, to be sure.

Nice work mate, I do find it's getting increasingly difficult to source decent figures especially for WW2 British subjects. I think a lot of this is due to most manufacturers not making figures for specific kits or vehicles these days.

Nice looking Crusader neighbour. And nice bit of scratcherizing on the interior. Pitty you had to button her up because you can't find the figure. Nonetheless, looking forward to see one in paint.

Nice work on the PE Paul. You've got some very crisp folds going on there.

Thanks kindly chaps . Today I primed and painted the base coat of UK Light Stone (Vallejo 71.143) onto the lower hull, and also got the wheels painted up too. I needed this doing first, so that I can get the tracks on, then the skirts and move on . Well then it happened , I started on the tracks and what a ferkin nightmare they are . Cheers Border, you have made a good kit and then screw it up with main part, the tracks . Every single link is covered with two knock-out pin holes. Not only that, if you sand or scrape these back, even avoiding the pin holes for the track pins, the pins when attached will break the track links apart. Luckily I bought a set of Friul tracks for the Italeri AA Crusader a few years ago, these have now been pilfered for the Border kit. The links are drilled out and a test fit on the Border sprocket shows that they fit, thank gawd .

Boots you're right there fella, the kit tracks should be full workable and I fell for that . I can't understand why they just couldn't stick to single or link and length tracks, like in the Panzer IV first release two years ago. Had a quick look at the net for another set of Frillies, can't find any anywhere except from the Friul site. And they want €14 postage .

That's more like it Paul, Friuls to the rescue. Look how they almost embrace the drive sprocket.

Looking great there Paul! A totally agree about the tracks, these newer companies are just coming up with horrible engineering on them.
