I started with the pigment work on the KV-2. On the lower hull I used copious amounts of MIG Dark Earth and hit it with MIG Pigment Fixer. I used some darker shades to give the impression of both dried and wet soil on the hull. I also hit the upper hull and turret with some pigments and used MIG Brick Dust, Industrial City Dust and European Earth to give it more of a dusty appearance topside. I got the tracks painted with some Vallejo Track Primer and I will do the weathering on those next.

Thanks, Marco! Small update on the KV-2. I got the link-and-length tracks installed and nice job on Tamiya's part as they fit well and have built-in sag. I painted the tracks with Vallejo's excellent Track Primer. Once that was applied, I hit the tracks with a heavy oil wash of Raw Umber/Mars Black/Mineral Spirits. After that dried, I went over the tracks with my Koh-I-Noor heavy duty lead pencil to give them a bare metal look. I then hit the tracks again with a wash of Burnt Umber/Mineral Spirits to give them a browner hue. I then did a test fit of the upper hull. I will do a pigment application on the tracks next.

This is more than next level chap, it belongs on the cover of a modelling magazine. It's a 1:48 scale one, and it doesn't look 1:35 scale, no, it does look mighty ferking real 1:1 scale. The best effects I've seen on this size.

Btw I don't want to be gentle, in fact I'm jealous in whisper mode.
