Well, what I saw at On-Track wasn't bad at all Ian, you really should go to more shows and take your stuff with you too

Your Tiger looks good enough for any show I've attended Ian.

I agree; I really don't understand the hang up with your work. Truly this amazing model and others you've done would be a contender in any US show too! Like I said, your work far outshines mine; and mine got a couple Third Places at our Nationals. I'm certain yours would have placed higher.

Right you might not be able to see the difference but I certainly can, it might show up better once the flat coat goes on tomorrow I only used three oils, Naples yellow, pale green and burnt umber, breaking myself in gently, on a Youtube video it said oils don't work too well on zimmerit but I still done it and it seemed to enrich the colours. I done a bit of streaking on the turret with the naples yellow too I also gave the spare tracks a lighter rust wash

I can see it Ian . Looks good indeed. When you have matted the beast tomorrow, you might have to touch up with the oils again. Just depends on how light they are, the matt might make some disappear .

Understood Paul, I really enjoyed applying the oils I also used a burnt umber thick wash on the tool handles, you can see this best on the sledge hammer handle

Fine work on the oil application! I like the contrast on the track links with that rust shade.

Thank you very much, see what it looks like tomorrow in her flat coat. I can see where I want more streaking but not too much

Yeah. I can see the oils on the turret but oils are only very subtle effects.
In the Abteilung book I have, they show before and after pics. I swear to god, they look exactly the ... same!!!!!
There is a section in the book on camo patterns. If you want I can send you the pictures.
