Decals really give so much life and character to a bird. They settled nice around the details. Well done chap. And Kudos to living in Germany regarding the funky cross insignia ey . I assume you are going to leave it that way in order to be able to visit some German shows with it as well?

I'd slap them swastis on, they're part of history and what we build is nothing but history. We are modellers, not nazis after all.

Thank you Wouts and Guy . Wouts, regarding the decals you're absolutely right. If this one turns out half as good as I wish, I may take it to a show. Which would mean, I would be disqualified before reaching the table. Not only that, I would end up with a prosecution. I might still add the Hakenkreuze later and then cover them up, if I take it out, but that is also stupid in my opinion. Anyway, I have started getting the old girl dirty. Not much much to see at the moment, but that should change very soon

Getting the old “girl” dirty. I hope you are talking about the model. You might end up with a disqualification and a prosecution from your wife!!!

The yellow adds a nice contrast to the finish.
As for the tail decals, it's an interesting point and I think you've found the ideal solution.

Ian, agreed . Tommy, both . I've sent Mrs B. to dig up some spuds from the allotment . Steve, thanks ole chap . I have decided to leave just outer bits of the decals, that way it'll keep everyone happy and I'll avoid trouble . Joe, appreciated indeed mucker . Done a tad more in between cooking lunch .

Oh, you made a start getting her dirty. Swell! I can see the subtle streaking already And it's clear now on the underside that this is an Eduard 109

Paul, fantastic work on the -109 and love the yellow trim. Decals look great and nice weathering on the underside. Was not aware a particular marking was banned in that manner. And prosecution! Wow!

Appreciated kindly my dear friends . Sorry for letting this go slack again, but it is now back and close to the finish line . More grime and staining has been added using oils and good old Tamiya smoke with a drop of black added. I also added some chipping using Vallejo Aluminium.
