So we have a tad more done this evening . The running gear is assembled. Both sides are complete units, with the wheels glued to the tracks. These will be removed and painted later . The gun has been started and I can say this is last Aber AM barrel that I shall buy. It needs a hell of a lot of work to get it in place, the thing is covered in milling fluid and shavings. Also, you have to deburr the openings and to top it all, the breech-block end needs flat edges filed to fit the kit part . I have never had anything like this happen with RB Model, but they are now becoming very rare to find.

Cheers Boots mucker . The real annoying thing about the barrel, is the fact that it costs double that which RB take . RB gave excellent quality for a good price.

I must admit i`ve always been pleased with RB stuff but for a dearer barrel you`d expect a bit more

Great job on those tracks Paul. Taking them off in one piece is a very good idea

Excellent choice, Paul! I bet when you stepped away from the work bench for your dram of Balvenie, this Tamiya gem built itself.

Great job, I’d say. I used Aber barrels in the past on 1/48 scale. Was supposed to screw in parts but just ended up gluing them. I thought it was just me.
