Hi all. Firstly, thank you for the kind words of support, very much appreciated. Ok, tracks fitted. I found them too tight to the point they almost twisted the idler off its mount. I remedied (bodged badly) this by separating them at the join and stapling back together but with a 5mm gap. Still fairly taught but not putting as much tension on the running gear. Fortunately, my less than award winning fix will be hidden behind the side armour. I will be taking the advice of Boots and touching in any flaked off paint later. Rear panels went on and front fenders primed, painted and for now, dry fitted. Apologies for the poor image.

That's coming along very nicely, Mence. A 5mm gap? wow, that's strange. Glad you got it sorted.

Looking proper tank like now fella and good idea with the staple fix...........used that method a few times and once hidden somewhere you`d never know.........get that hairy stick out for the tracks at the end of the build as ya bound to knock a bit of paint off during handling etc

Maybe MENG knows about the tracks, but didn't bother about just because we wont be seeing with the model done. Nice track save mate!

Hello chaps. Progress has been made. Skirts are on hiding the nasty track bodge mentioned earlier. Smoke dischargers in and some detail painting. Some fiddly bits on the other side done as well, nothing exciting. More shoddy work to follow soon.

Well, I'm kind of where I want to be with this. Weapons and final details added etc. further painting and trying to keep paint on the tracks which has proven successful. Going for the dusty, used look rather than the heavily weathered option and for me a least I think it's worked. Flat coat here and there and a little grime removal in a few places and then leave it alone. I dont do armour much any more but in these days of 1000 part kits, this proved to be a welcome diversion, instructions are clear and accurate, decals behave and the styrene is very well detailed and goes together giving you a satisfaction normally reserved for Tamiya kits. The light is very poor so it looks darker than it actually is, I will post a better image in time but here you go for now. As always, huge thank you for following, support and help and advice, top people.
