The only rattlecan I used was a satin black for the seat. Halfords very good stuff

As you say putting the wheels on certain changes the whole look of the build Robbo. The different metal finishes bring a lot of interest too.

It's just dawned on me that the only way to get the x1 really shiny is to give it two coats.
Going to take a bit longer now but I'm in no rush

Thanks followers Working rear shocks all done. I also got the Alclad on the exhaust but as soon as it went on I could see a seam. Got to be redone but shouldn't hold me up as the exhaust can be added at any time, even right at the end

Thank you Joe I also got the tank bits on and primed today. These tanks were held on with a strap going from front to rear it is indicated by the raised area on the tank, this will be spayed black them masked then the tank will be spayed in VW silver, I will then remove the mask and clear lacquer the whole tank. It should look OK when done something like this
