As I am dying to get this one started so I thought I'd open a blog straight away to see how much interest there is in it. This is not going to be a fast build but just one on ticking over on the the side burner.  When I was a young lad my dad was a track marshal at Brands Hatch race track and mum would take us up there with our flask and sandwiches to watch the races and these bikes were the sort of thing we saw racing so I've always had a soft spot for old bikes so when I saw this I jumped at buying it There is loads of refence pics on the interweb which will help no end and I've got my trusty advisor, Mence, who is going to get bombarded with messages. Funny you should put that race video up as I was watching races from Goodwood today and feel a trip coming in September next year

I had to deliver to an event at Goodwood once.........i got there at 6am and was the only one there..........so i went for a little private wander down to the starting grid.....as you do , there were some vintage rally cars parked up which were in the event so i had a quick nosey at those too |

Right I'm not going to do the sprue pics as we all know what they look like.
I've got two "chrome" sprues that have got to be stripped back so I've got them in their bag with over cleaner at the moment. I gave the sprues a large dosing with an old paint brush to make sure there is plenty on there. Got till 16:00 till we see if it's worked it's magic so I'll see you soon with the result.
Never done this before so very nervous but my advisor has put me at ease

The silver paint has nearly gone in less than two hours, this amazes me Guess what just came? Yup the new polished aluminium. This paint is the most expensive I've every bought but I guess it will last ages like my Alclad chrome paint |
