It's a primer I'm after Paul it is a gloss black for the frame, mud guards etc
Would you go for X1 for that?

Not straight onto plastic, it's not robust enough. You need to prime first otherwise you'll get some some nasty scratches later.

Sorry Paul think we are not on the same wavelength.
I've got a primer for the frame, a grey Halfords primer. I'm after a gloss black top coat to go on the primed frame.
I'll go to Halfords tomorrow and pick up a black gloss top coat

Hard to tell the exact colour from a pic mate but that looks like a very glossy white/grey...........it may be polished alu mate but can`t be certain, as for the Rattle can..........don`t see why it won`t work..........the only think i will say is if your spraying small parts with a rattle-can be careful, they can sometimes be a bit aggressive during spraying and you can drown any detail.

Robbo,
I personally would not use the PlastiKote. Tried their grey primer once but never again.
Halfords is more or less the only stuff I use now.

A coloured engine. Have to let it dry solid as I can't fit the gearbox as the mounts keep moving Started a bit of tubing too

Cheers Paul
Just noticed by that pic I hadn't painted the chain Steel, it is now. That would of been a pain if I had spotted it after it was fitted. Just shows to sit back and take a look now and again

Very nice Robbo! Is the chain plastic or that odd vinyl stuff that's in some of the Italeri boxes?
