Fitting that gear box was the worst part so far, very tricky, had to break the cylinder away from the bottom part of the engine so I could build it upside down, loads of glue that is now drying before I can attempt to put it all back together
Wish me luck

Those look rather grand Robbo As for the primer.....are the Tam ones the same quantity as the Halfords, i know Tam sprays are a lot smaller in size whereby Halfords are 350ml and 500ml..........better value for money with Halfords i would have thought.............Tam sprays surely will be dearer for less, `specially in the long run!!

Thank you chaps
Yes Boots I thought it might be a smaller can, I'll check when I do in for paints, glue is the same price as hobby shops
I was a bit disappointed that they didn't put a decal in for the battery, When I see photo you can clearly read Lucas on the battery in red letters, would have been a nice touch

Tamiya has 2 types of primer. Make sure you get the "Fine" Surface Primer.

Question, is X1 acrylic that can be thinned with X20A
Sorry if this sounds dumb but I've never used gloss finishes by Tamiya

As far as I know, X20A is the Acrylic thinner and should work on all Tamiya Acyrlics

Just wondered as that is what I mixed it with but I spilt it on my hand and hell of a job getting it off with soap and hot water so it made me think
