I always use Gloss Black for the Chrome paints and make sure it`s highly polished before applying the chrome.......for Aluminium/steel paint`s i use either a Matt Black/Satin Black/Grey primer Just my 2 cents/shilling`s worth

Thank you Pete Engine on sticks and primed engine on sticks. The only way to do this is to colour them in separately and then add them all together

Unfortuneatly you will find that most of the build will be independant painting Ian..........`specially the donk i tend to try and cobble together as many parts that need the same colour, that way you havn`t gotta keep choppin` and changin` during painting............also it helps getting things assembled a bit quicker.

Go with grey primer for coating with aluminium colours but as Boots says, if its shiny, gloss black base coat will really help. Fortunately on one of these it's probably only the zorst that needs proper shiny.
