Use Paul`s method, coat the conecting lugs with some TETC....leave for a few seconds and then make ya cut.........i used that method recently on some delicate stuff and it works a treat

...........or........replace them with wire, that`s what i would do/have done  ..........just use the kit ones as templates

With the Miniart super fragile stuff, I coat the whole part (turret grab bars) and then cut it off.

Tamiya Extra Thin Cement Bert  . I use two types, the fast drying and normal drying type.

Thanks for all the input guys  Went with a new blade in the scalpel and some careful work with the nippers and both long fuel lines cleaned up with no breakages thankfully.  having trouble uploading pictures again  10th times a charm !!

My preferred method is to cock it up and end up with at least three pieces and then think, yes it was a fairly cheap kit and yes it's an interesting subject but then carefully pack every thing back in the box and place it on a shelf.
