Figures now and I've been working out the colours for the MTP camo. This consists of six colours which is quite a lot to add to a 1/35th figure. So far the figures have been primed and the vallejo 885 pastel green has been sprayed on as this is the most dominant colour. I'll start getting the rest down this evening.

Guy I didn't look at decals for this although there are some out there as I fancied having a go at painting it. Tommy the 30 odd colours are just my method of sorting suitable colours out when I paint a camouflage pattern I'm not familiar with.I very rarely go with kit suggested colours preferring to use the old Mk1 eyeball and references to determine the right colours.

Cheers guys, been busy at home lately sorting out the next round of improvements for casa smudge as well as repairing stuff at both of the kids houses! Anyway finally managed to get to the bench today and made a start on the camo. I did have a quick practice on an old figure first just to test the colours and work out the pattern. I started with a mix of vallejo 339 highlight feldgrau and a drop of 341 flesh base for the light brown of the uniform. Next 327 Italian tank crew was used for the green followed by 312 leather belt for the brown. Finally 837 pale sand with a dash of 315 light mud was used for the final sand colour. On the real thing there is also a very pale sand colour but I didn't bother with this as it would not have really added anything to the final look. Pleased with the results so far and with a touch of shading etc it will really look the part I think.
