With the weather here being really good, haven't done much modelling lately, been busy in the garden. But now started on painting again, and with this new vehicle, I have more figures to practice on... old tamiya figures, got them in the desired shape last night, and painted them a bit.. will try again the Tommygun way... dark from underneath, flesh color from above..

Thanks everyone! Let us know how that paint freebie works, I also got one with an order, mine is Dunkelgelb I had to use thinner and flow improver to get it through the airbrush.... still no fan of AK stuff, prefer Tamiya.. With Tamiya I useally open up a new bottle, fill it up with thinner and a few drops of Tamiya paint retarder, (found that in a Youtube video from Andys Hobby Headuarter) and don't have to add any thinner anymore afther that. And in that glass bottle I simply use a paint stirrer/mixer each time I open a bottle, because it will have 'separated' in paint and thinner. But after stirring it, it is fine to use again without problems. With AK (have tried multiple times, have aout 40 bottles of that stuff because they have so many shades and colors) I have to use a bottle shaker (got that cheap on Ali) but you than have to mix up the paint / thinner /flow improver in a seperate cup or something similar before I can put it into the airbrush. Each and every time I try to mix it up in the airbrush cup, it gets clogged up right away. Same thing with Vallejo, that nice IDF sand grey primer... horrible stuff to work with.. And I first add thinner before I add some drops of paint. It is probably something I do wrong.. but ... prefer Tamiya. Also because now I just mix up some paints to get different shades, bonus of that ( I think) is that you always get all kinds of different shades of color, which is nice to do a lot of stowage without it all being the same color.

Good to know that Bert. I also have a shed load of AK acrylics, and they are a real pain to use for me also. As for Vallejo, I love them now. It took me a long time to get the mix of thinner/flow improver right, but now they my go to paints, along with Tamiya and Mission Model

It would work with this . I still have one, and for large builds it's priceless for base coating

Yeah, I see, you can mix up the paint in that bottle.. hmm... Oh well, fo rnow I will stik to my own airbrush and brushes.. Update: been doing some nice painting this evening, and dry fitting the parts together.. it is almost like my caravan, can choose to put up the awning because of the sun...
Or leave it off..
And as usual I cut arms and legs at ellbows and knees to get them in a different position.. had to shorten the drivers legs... And don't know if you notice, but one of those figures didn't have any of that gear on, so I added 0,6 mm rod and glued it on him in a 'harness' shape.. Watch out RedZebra, here I come

This looks excellent, Bert. Figures and stowage really compliment the vehicle well.
