TBH, that's in the raw, all I've done is lay down the colour and apply some clear coat, I haven't cut it back and polished it yet.
No pic but other bits were done today. Last bits of under bonnet do dahs have been added, air horns, carbs, filters, bonnet latches and final wiring.
If time allows, tomorrow will be screen, rear view mirror and steering wheel.

Thanks chaps. Well, I had a bit of time today so on went steering wheel, windscreen, rear view mirror, harnesses, grille, flashers, hubcaps, a hand full of decals and tail lights. A challenging build but #1 off my short bucket list before I hang up my AB for good.  Thank you for following and your support, as always it's very much appreciated. |

Thanks boys. Retirement from model building will happen as my eyesight is failing at a steady pace (it's quite common on my fathers side of the family). I make the usual adjustments, glasses of various sorts etc. etc. but more than 40 minutes or so at the bench results in a fairly serious headache which takes hours to shift. That limits me to no more than one hour a day, two years ago it wasn't a problem at all. We will press on in the meantime but the writing is very much on the wall....if I could see it.  |

Sorry to hear that mate.......i`m the same regarding visual, mines dropped dramatically for close up stuff and i`ve done the usual adjustments as well, i keep a couple of pairs of Asda specials handy .......but......me and the missus got an eye test voucher come thru saying the test was a fiver .........so i decided i would get them checked properly........turns out i gotta have bi-focals.......although my long distance is good it needs sharpening up according to the glasses bloke .........ironically that £5 eye test cost me £173.00  . I too only work short periods at the bench....especially if i`m doing etch work or detailing.......actually if i`m honest probably when i`m doing main building as well ......thats why it takes sooooo ferkin` long to finish anything  |
