I thought I would get it out of the way and got on next year's naughty list early. A Christmas Day purchase that arrived today It's one I've been hunting for for a good few months... Airfix 1/72 E-3D Sentry AWACS. She's a big girl with approx 2ft wingspan.

Have been watching this on our NZ version of Ebay for the last 2 weeks, couldn't resist the temptation. so it should be with me by the end of next week. I also ordered the resin wheel upgrade set from Super Hobby in Poland. Should have them by the end of January.

Ordered a few bits on Saturday, which arrived today . Last year I mentioned that Eduard have entered the 3D decal game , well it's time to see what they are like. And I likes what I sees . The dials even have a gloss cover on them

I'll say good luck with that. I built one some 10-12 years ago and had some serious issues. First and foremost: check the fit of the upper wing roots. Mine had a 1/4 inch gap that had to be filled with 1/4 inch sheet styrene and CA glue. Took weeks of sanding to get it to look right. Then the painting issues which was probably mostly my fault. I should have left off the landing gear, gear bay doors and various other small breakables before painting since I had at least 11 parts break off while I was trying to paint this.
Just a heads up...
Great scores overall guys! I hope to have a few Christmas presents coming in soon.
