Well I couldn't resist mate, ended up opening the 48th T55 in my collection, plan on a heavily worn one like in Syria Armour books... :-)  |

Back on the T-55 today . After I had primed the beast, I noticed this morning that a shed load of tie-downs were missing from the turret   . (come on Tamiya, you can do better than that) So out came the 0.3mm copper wire, to quickly sort the problem out . After that the ties were primed with metal primer from VMS, then the first coat of paint went down, Tamiya Dark Green XF-61.     More tomorrow chaps |

Thank thee kindly Guy-bro . Well it ain't 06:00, but I have an update . Tracks have been painted with my secret mix of left-over Tammy paints, then Track Wash from Mig, then some Aluminium dry brushing over the contact surfaces, then some European Earth pigment and finally a quick passing of Graphite Powder over the contact parts again . For the dirt I used European Pigment mixed with Revell Aqua Gloss and just slapped it on .    |
