It is fantastic to follow a build of a model you have waiting being built by a grandmaster.. like this one, I was wondering why you were spraying the parts A7 (tiny pieces) before glueing them on, so I got out the instruction sheet of this kit. Those are installed on top of the windows like wipers.. learned something again today, thanks!

Paint on this morning before work and I went for AK RC079 CARC TAN which is a good base for the real colour. I thinned this time with mr levelling thinner which worked a treat. Coverage was excellent and I can also mix with tamiya paints. This will be handy when I add the subsequent layers of highlights using tamiya white mixed in.

The figure has also arrived & I think with a minimum of fiddling he should fit right into the turret.

Cheers guys, some progress such as it is, Mrs Sniper's cracking the whip with a couple of DIY projects on the go at the moment! The model has just had a quick blast of clear to seal the paint. I found that the ak stuff was a bit delicate so this stops any swearing later on. No highlights this time as they seem pretty tidy in real life. Oils, washes & filters should add enough interest later on. Also some detail painting has been done and the figure sorted for the turret. He needed some work as the details are soft but should do.
