Brilliant work Paul! Nicely done.
One of my friends and fellow SoCal AMPS member has done all the Magach series tanks, including the Magach III. It is a most impressive collection to look at.
Keep it coming Paul!

Wow, that is some nice work you did there, lovely mantlet cover created like that. And noticed you are using the papertowl/toiletpaper/snotcatchers soaked in PVA method for creating it, I must rememer it can be used for other purposes than only groundwork.

Cheers Bert . The tissue paper method has always been a favorite of mine, it's also good for making tarps etc.

Yeah, I know some guys who use the same technique to put the canvas covers on truck beds in 1/72 scale too.

I`ve used tissue on 1/35th tarps.........this was the original plan for the FAMO first time round but never got round to finishing it coz i changed the plan to the other load bed........this is just a spare.........if ever i do another FAMO i`ll have a rear deck already built

That mantlet cover looks ferkin` ace mucker

Interesting that you guys trashed that soft plastic part for the M48/Magach. When I built my M48, I used it and had no trouble gluing it down. It held paint quite well and looked great once painted.
I don't know. I guess I'm just used to using what I have instead of getting aftermarket stuff. Maximum utilization of available resources and all that....
Duke, I had no choice as my part was a short-shot on the sprue so 1/3 of what I was supposed to have to work with was not there. Paul, great detail work on the mantlet.

That's understandable Ian. Your new mantlet is more than adequate to replace it!
