Way to go Paul! Brilliant idea painting the white for the markings first and masking them. Wow, you rock! Many thanks Ian . It's not a mask, it's a holder for whilst I spray , and it came all the way from Scotland That holder is also brilliant! I need to find one to hold my scale parts....

Righto, time to get this moving again . Today I had the urge to get some tonal variations to the base colour. So out came the IDF Sand Grey, Vallejo 71.037 Mud Brown and Vallejo 71.001 White . I mixed the Mud Brown with Sand Grey first and sprayed this around the lower edges of the turret, turret ring on the hull and around all the recesses, this effect is very subtle and hard to pick up with the camera. Next i went in with Tamiya smoke on the engine deck grills, spraying a little wildly from front to back After 10 minutes drying time I mixed some IDF Sand grey with white, and sprayed from the rear forwards to bring the engine deck colour back up. I also went over the center panels and turret top with this mix .

Appreciated your words be dear chaps . Today I went at the canvas covers on the turret . I used a very much thinned down version of Vallejo Game extra opaque 72.145 Heavy Grey. Before this was dry I used a dampened q-tip to rub some of he colour off
