I'm thinking about buy to try, but read many different reviews about it. I know that acrylic paints are different, each modeler has his weapon of choice. I prefer to use the AMMO range, with their own thinner in various ratio. But MMP has some colors that AMMO don't (like British modern desert sand).
More: With or without thinner? Did you used other thinner than de MMP one? Did it work?
Thanks in advance!

Marco, it is great paint and they make some shades no other company has. Three things:
1) Thin very sparingly. Distilled water can be used to thin it. The paint pours like molasses from the bottle but surprisingly requires little thinning. Start with one drop of water and go from there.
2) Can be sensitive to masking, even over primer. Let it cure for 2-3 days and if you have to mask, use low-tack tape such as Scotch 3M 2090, Washi Tape, Post-It notes, etc.
3) Apply in very light coats and build it up, slowly.
You do get a big bottle of paint and a mixing ball, which is nice.

I agree 100% with Ian. You can also thin with glass cleaner, but only the alcohol based type, and again be very careful when thinning. This paint defo needs less, rather than more thinner.

Ok, thanks mate! On the MMP, they said that no thinner is needed at all... Still thinking...

You can use them without thinner but if you do, you will find that a skin develops on top of the paint in your airbrush. If this is left too long and the brush runs dry, it is annoying to remove.

The paint almost defies the laws of physics. I was amazed that paint which is as thick as maple syrup sprays so well.

Only used LRDG pink. You can see it on my SAS Jeep. Did not use any thinner and it sprayed well.
Only problem was when it came to detail painting. The paint is so smooth that it did no take any Tamiya paint on top. I had to do at least three or four layers.
Hope this helps, Marco.

Cheers Tommy! BTW, when I have problems like this I apply a hand of flat varnish over the base.

I`ve just tried this for the first time Marco, the Ford GT Arcadian Blue......i went with the light coat method as Ian mentioned and applied about 5 coats, i did follow MMP`s guide lines but i did tweek a little re: thinner to paint.......i also bought their Polyurethane mix additive which you add a couple of drops into the mix and is supposed to deliver a better result..as to whether that is true or not i don`t know coz i havn`t painted anything without it so i can`t compare, i also use their own thinner..........i`ve yet to discover what else works with them as i`m new to them myself. To be honest i am more than happy with the end result regarding smooth/clean finish, probably one of the nicest finishes i`ve personally had although to be fair i did rub back each layer so every coat that went on top was always going over a smooth previous layer......i will defo give other colours a go when it comes to the armour colours.

.........forgot to mention Marco, they advise not to mix in the AB cup so use a small mixing jar........i`m assuming it maybe helps mix it better, i`ve mixed my Tam and Vallejo paints in the AB before with no issues but i thought i`d give you the recommended heads up just in case
