Ok chaps..........been somewhat side tracked as of late so progress has been slow, especially when you make somat from scratch......3 times!!!....and it ain`t working out still!! I saw a civvy ref pic of one of these and it had a protective guard in front of the radiator which i assume would stop a cable or hook flying thru the air if it broke and damaging the rad, well after the 4th attempt i`m finally satisfied....brass rod and white scraps were the recipe of the day, i`ve also mounted the lights and the chain is just experimental at the mo.....in the same reference picture it also has some AM width indicators but not sure on this idea yet
Anyhoo..........here`s the story so far......`alas poor Yoric`
I`ve also added some extra boxes mounted on the inner side walls of the rear deck and some extra bits in the cab.....
I now need to switch to the rear end and add some lights, when the Road Traffic Act came about in 1947 these would have had to conform to newer regulations unlike the war years.......so thats the next task and a simple one
Cheers all

Ok chaps..........some primer down, i could mess about with chassis bits all day but i gotta have a point whereby i draw the line and say enoughs enough!!.........otherwise i`ll just burn out on it. At least now i can have another direction to focus on while i wind up the last few items. Sooooooo..........i decided to prime the cab, roof, doors and air/oil canister and the main chassis, i`ve not done the rear deck or side basket yet as those i do need to do a couple more small bit`s and pieces. Now i didn`t have any of my usual rattle can primer but i did have a bottle of STYNYLREZ from Badger.......i`ve only ever used it once before and i did struggle, this time i used it thru my new 0.5 needle and not my 0.35 one.......i found it didn`t like spraying neat but i also didn`t have any of their acrylic thinners so i winged it by using some Lifecolor thinner........took 3 attempts with juggling the consistancy but i was pleased with the result.........cleaning up the dried residue in the cup was an ar$e tho.....even with ISO!
The cab.....the two levers and mount were the last couple of bits i needed to add to finish the cab (apart from steering wheel)
The crane base and the roof
And a couple together
Not sure where i go from here colour wise......i have a few civvy ides so we`ll see what happens, masking and painting on this is going to be a real headache
Cheers chaps
