Thank you, Steve! I got the engine parts installed, namely the silver nacelle rims, the fans and the exhaust cones. The fit on all of these parts was not very good and it really took some tinkering to get everything installed. However, they really had to be painted ahead of time and then added on at the end of the assembly. Next I have to get the probes reinstalled on the wings and tail. Interestingly enough, I was watching Flight Radar the other day and saw one of the 51 Sqdn. birds making a run at the Crimea (closer than usual before the transponders went off) with two Tiffies riding shotgun.

The Roden 1/144th RC-135 Rivet Joint/Air Seeker is now complete! I got the last of the antennae installed as well as the antennae wire from the tail. She also got one last pass with a Bounce Dryer sheet to buff the Pledge Gloss Coat. The mounting post was secured to the underside of the fuselage with two metal pins and secured with CA Glue and then caulked around the edges with Tite-Bond PVC Glue. The post was then secured in the base with more PVC glue. The plane depicted is ZZ664 from RAF 51 Squadron out of Waddington, "Swift and Sure." ZZ664 was the aircraft which was conducting a surveillance mission over the Black Sea on Sept. 29th when a nearby Russian Su-27 discharged an air-to-air missile. The 51 Squadron birds are continuing their intel missions to this day around the Ukraine area, although with Tiffie escort.

This build is respectfully dedicated to the memory of Valery Grygorenko, Roden's visionary box artist who was killed near his home in Irpin on March 4th during the opening days of the war. Although Valery's life was senselessly taken, his artistic vision will live on.
