I brushed Vallejo Metal Aluminium onto the landing gear and once this coat was dry I thinned down Dark Aluminium with Reducer and applied it as a wash to add some depth feeling to it. It had a fantastic flow. The tyres are painted with Vallejo Black Primer. Tomorrow this part of the Mustang will be done.

For the fun of it, tested if the Metal paint is ok for dry rushing, absolutely! This is Aluminium.

Thanks Pete. A tad of green still needed to be brushed on. I had no problem while brushpainting the green onto the with Tamiya Gloss clear coated (by airbrush) Vallejo metal paint. Imo they make a happy marriage. I slipped a couple of times so I'll have to patch this up.

Thank you Paul and John. It's confronting this plane kit building, I know nothing and have to start from zero. I'm glad I'm in great company, as I said before. I've added the landing flaps to the wings. Finally it starts to look like a fighter plane now. There's one more wheel bay I have to airbrush in green, and also a bit of detail painting in them is planned for tomorrow. And I'll have to do some panel lining as well. I'm slow I know, sorry chaps.

This looks most excellent, Guy. Very much appreciated but not that excellent because my friend... I put a black round decal on the fuel cap instead of paint the fuel cap red and put the black decal next to it. One black decal lost, what a rookie mistake I made. I wasn't keen on painting a perfect round marking so I came up with the idea of punch and die a perfect round shaped decal. I used a black decal from the spares and hammered out a round decal with my rivet maker...it worked! A red one was made too and I think I solved the mess I made.😁

Looks just fine. I think that what you did was way more practical than painting it.
