I think no one who only sees the finished model, will ever know about the not fitting gun ports or wings.... fixed it beautifully 👍👍

Chaps this one is over with, it has just met the twist of destruction . The main reasons are these: 1. I tried to get the flaps in place, which do not fit anywhere on the wings. After gluing them to the upper wing, I thought I might still pull this off. 2. I checked the fit of the canopy . The windshield doesn't line up and worst of all the larger cover is too small and impossible mount in closed or open positions.

I have the same temperament as you Paul, so I fully understand you gave it a swing. I once smashed a Bronco Comet tank after months of building and scratching details. You're a fantastic modeller, this is purely a ferking helluva kit, badly engineered. Get another one started soon.

Sometimes this is the only way to deal with a mojo killing kit. Feels good to draw a line under it.... Permanently!

Paul, sorry about the demise of the Corsair! But if she's not working, you made the right call. I see your Tamiya project in the other thread and I am sure that will get the mo-jo going again.

That’s what the old models I take down to my grandson looks like after a few cats & traps on the garden table.

Yep. Some times you just have to go down that road. Mental health comes first. We need to enjoy this, not suffer, because then ot wouldn't be called a hobby. It would be called marriage. 😁
