The undercarriage is taking shape quite nicely, Guy.
My son took the salute for the Royal Navy when he visited the Menen Gate back in 2014. He also visited the grave of one of our relatives at the same time. I have some pictures somewhere.

You have a relative who fought here in Flanders Fields ? If you like I go back and put a bouquet of flowers on the grave! I'd be honoured, what these soldiers did will remain indiscribable. Best regards brotha.

Like most other families of all nations, we lost more than one relative. We also lost one in The Tank Corps. I’ll send you a link which tells you a little about it. My son is in the an Artificer in the Fleet Air Arm. He’s been in the Navy for 20 years now and has served all over the world.

Thanks Joe! Ok chaps, I made a start with the paintjob. The panels and rivets were given a quick passing with black as a preshade, nothing special as I'm sure all will be buried under much too opaque coats 🫠. Consider this a warming up.👍 I then lemonized the nose and tail with a fruity mixture of oranges and lemons to ensure healthy smells finding their way to pilot Mummert's cockpit. Tomorrow a lot more colour with...minty flavours! The nose and tail will be carefully masked to keep the healthiness inside. Damn my wife's hand picked forest mushrooms btw!
Lightened🥴

I mixed leftover grey paints from the Skyraider A1-H paintjob and adjusted this until I found the moreless accurate colour for the underside and fuselage base paint. I then mixed XF-62 Olive Drab + XF-51 Khaki Drab to spray on the mottled camo. I removed the mask from the canopy as I can protect it easily now with one piece of masking tape when I spray the wings.

That's a beautifully clear canopy!
Paint choices look spot on AG, this is shaping up nicely!

Thank you Steve, I had to remove a fingerprint IN the canopy mid section to be honest. It slipped under the radar when I glued it in place! I was lucky that I didn't apply too much glue so it wasn't a risky operation.😅
