Finally back at the bench . Today the 55 received its invasion stripes . Also the tarp on the turret was painted with XF65 Filed grey, the mantlet cover got a mix of Vallejo colours, the straps for the tarp and ammo boxes have picked out, and finally I added the turret numbers using Archer Fine Transfer dry rub numbers.

Thank you very chaps, your praise keeps the engine running . Ian to answer your question, it's set in the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia. Today or more this evening, I did some work on the tarp and mantlet cover with oils. Now when the Soviets invade somewhere, they carry invasion markings. In ths case the markings where as diverse as they have been shown in the Ukraine. Broken squares, oblong shapes, diamond, circles and even something that looks the eye of Sauron . I decided on a broken square with numbers in the top and lower halves. These were drawn on with an aqua/acrylic pencil which I bought at a local art shop, basically the same thing as AK make only cheaper .

Pete, Joe, Tommy, thank you muchly fellas . Today I finished the mini T-55. The last things I added was light airbrushing with a mix of Buff, Dunkelgelb, White and Dark Sea Grey from Tamiya. The mix was extremely thin and it did what I wanted it to, it gave a nice urban dusty colour. A little bit of pigment from AK (city dust) was added and few chips and scuffs with the AK weathering pencils . Many thanks for encouragement and for watching. As always ACACW
