I’ve painted a few interior parts after drilling the holes in the frame. I also painted the tail Duck Egg Green to see how it looked. That way, if I don’t like it, I only have one piece to strip the paint off.

Those details look brilliant and will pop under a wash or two.
Is that Tamiya XF-23 Sky?

Those details look brilliant and will pop under a wash or two. Is that Tamiya XF-23 Sky? Thank you kindly chaps. Steve, it’s Mig Ammo Duck Egg Green (BS 216). A.MIG-244 Below is what Kotare says about the colours in the instructions.

Kotare really researched the Mk.1. When you think about it, it makes sense that different components from different suppliers will have been painted with a slightly different colour paint. Also, I’ve seen some criticism online about the decals. It’s been said the grey codes are too dark. But, according to Kotare, there were a lot of different grey colour codes. There is photographic evidence showing aircraft of the same squadron with different colour codes. There is also a photograph of the one particular aircraft taken in flight, that has different shades of Dark Green on the upper wing. Like it says in the Kotare instructions, there is no “one true” Dark Earth, Dark Green, Sky Type S or interior grey-green.
