Cheers guy.
The decals seem quite thick but when you put Sol on them they soften up very fast, I broke two of them but think I've sorted them pretty well

Thanks again fellas
OK I finished the decals, all them little stencils, red decals on black background, you can't see them with the naked eye the camera flash shows them up.
Done the yellow tips on the rotas two coats, need another one to cover, I hate yellow paint
I'll get another clear coat on when the decals have dried
Photo coming soon

Throw a basecoat of white down first and you'll have better luck with the yellow,Ian.π

Klear coat is on, I've still got a bit left so I thought I'd use it up and the yellow has had a third coat
Next up a pin wash as no need to use my normal Flory wash as these were made from wood so they have no panel lines

I did use a Flory wash but used a bit more control over where I put it as the is a little bit of detail I'd like to pop. I used a Mig enamel wash on the landing gear. I think once the Flory wash has dried and been cleaned I'll flip it over and do a light colour wash on the black, just thinking how good the Hellcat looked when I done this

Robbo, that Hellcat looks awesome! You have a photo of the completed build? Also, the Mossie looks sharp! One thing is for sure....not many panel lines to worry about on a Mosquito.

The underside with a wash on, there is more detail underneath than there is on the top side

Do you think so Paul? I was a bit iffy about doing that to the bottom as it isn't very realistic looking, but I love seeing all the detail pop.
I spoke to a fella who done the exact same thing on a dark aircraft at the show last weekend, it looks great I think

Ian it's all down to what you want . I love the way the detail has popped out. Maybe on your next black bottomed bird, you could try a medium grey mix of those Flory washes. OMG, did I just write BBB

Robbo, I like how the detail has popped out. If you think it is too much, you could also go over the panel lines with a Mars Black or Payne Grey Oils/Mineral Spirits wash to tone it down. And yes, Paul, you did type the Triple B.πππ
