Very nice and getting there now Robbo. I use a very dark grey oil wash on black too.

I've never used an oil wash on a plane only Flory or AK wash. Is it a pin wash I'll be doing or can you slap it on and wipe it off?
I will say that to the naked eye the wash doesn't look know where near as bright as in the photo, the camera flash is doing that

Robbo, with an oil wash I don't wipe it off. I just apply a small amount and let it flow in the line with capillary action.

Right I looked again and believe me the flash is making it look whiter than it is a lot whiter so I've left it and done a flat varnish On this build I used white Flory. On the Hellcat I used concrete Flory which was grey, remember I can mix these up these by inter changing then to make shades of next time I'll do just that, it'll be the Lancaster Can't wait for that one Just got some bits and pieces to do to finish this off

Lost one of the lights on the end of the wing, not happy at all, I heard it hit the wall when I cut it from the sprue, I've made another one from a clear sprue but for me it stands out like a sore thumb but that could be because I know it's there

That is looking grand Ian The VMS masking fluid recommend max 72 hours on the parts. I know with that stuff, that it can stay on for 7 days, and is still easy to remove.

I hope so Paul, I had to walk away from it today as it was one step forward and back
The radio wire wouldn't stick to where I wanted it too, it would weald it's self to the tweezers or my fingers but not the model.
The clear part doesn't look as bad now and I've got to clear colour them so no one will notice, the red side is all done just the green to do but I'll pick up up a green clear tomorrow
Put some dirt streaks on the wing but not too many, just a few

Better Ian ? I turned down the brightness just a little, tuned up the contrast and played with the saturation.
