In order to get these threads rolling:
Iwata HP-CS Custom Airbrush x 2
Almost exclusively paint with:
Lifecolour and Tamiya Acrylics both thinned 60:40 with their own respective thinners
Hand painting and detail stuff is usually achieved using Games Workshop colours

Same AB for me plus one of the cheaper Sparmaxx ones which i keep for metallics/glosses etc Tamiya paints and Vallejo Model colour for brush painting. Must try the games workshop stuff...........and also branch out into trying another spray paint, tried the AK stuff and it just wouldn`t work for me

it's a good one mate, I find it better than AK, MIG vallejo et al and it also has levelling properties so you always get a really smooth finish.

2 Paasches a very old Millenium and a Talon, plus a cheep chinese knock off. T he latter sometimes vastly outperforms the first two. Colours? More or less anything i can find.

Im still with my iwata neo. Somehow its allready taken a beating and one of the o rings has disintegrated, but it shoots as well as new.
Paint im still experimenting with. I have had luck with tamiya. No joy with shooting ak/afv, but they are good for brush. Next test is mr hobby which actualy looking promising so far.

Someone who will remain nameless has recommended a Chinese knock off of the Iwata Neo, he has two of them and loves them
I've had one in my hand and you could not tell the difference
Half the price

I have to agree with Nemo. Iwata Eclipse HP-CS w/adjustable needle stop. Tamiya is my go to Paint & Primer...love that stuff. Last year i increasingly used Vallejo model air and i really like it.

AB is a Paasche that I've had since '95. I have an even older Testors (Aztek) airbrush for clears, metals, etc. I rarely use the latter as it is prone to shooting the top of the paint cup off and making a mess.
For paints I use Tamiya....occasionally PolyS. I usually thin them equal parts and fiddle with it from there.

Used to use a Devilbiss something -or-other but now use cheap Chinese brushes and they do what I need. I take the needle nozzle off for fine lines. Tamiya acrylics thinned with water or windscreenwasher fluid or maybe iso. Primer, Halfords grey or white rattle can. The white is excellent as a top coat on sci-fi stuff and once washed with thinned with oils it takes on a nice eggshell finish. I thin the oils with solvent decanted from a spray can, applied either outside or with extraction on. They dry in seconds and can be wiped over without using thinners to get a shaded effect. the last build I did didn't prime it and it took weathering abuse. For many years I didn't use primer and had no issues. Got to admit primer allows imperfections to be seen more easily. that's yer lot!! bill
