Building that P38 was fun, somuch so that I decided to do another plane.. nothing fancy like you guys do, just something for fun again, and as well to serve as a practise run for other planes... so I can practise a bit of panel lines scribing... B17 G.. in 1/144... so there might be a chance I finish it in time..

That certainly is a big enough plane to practice on . Grand start Bert . If I may I would like to add some advice. I have done this scribing thing once on my Shinden last year. I strongly advise that you get some scribing tape, this stuff is thicker than normal tape and it gives you a good edge to scribe along. Mig make this tape and it's easily available, but there are others brands out there. If get this stuff, then don't be scroogy with it. When you notice it doesn't fully stick down anymore, throw it away and get a new piece. ebayebayAmazonModelbouwverf.nl

Thanks guys!
Yeah, already noticed normal tape wasn't good enough, did it double on the second wing, still not good enough.. will have a look for that other tape, also noticed someone used dynamo letter tang tape.. which will probably be cheaper...

Yes Bert, I forgot about that. I think Robbo mentioned using the so called Dymo Tape before.

Man You're a hero, scribing an entire bomber in this scale. I'd have gone the easier way by airbrushing on the panel lines, however with the scribism probably better results can be achieved.

Thanks, but with my lacking skills ... but like I said, this is more testing than anything else... and this isn't that big, same size as the P38...

Got this one built up.. And got it covered in primer.. And will be starting on the next one... And I like the unexpeted versions... came across a great video on youtube that told a great story, of which there is more and more to be found.. And there is a kit which is no longer available.. such a pitty.. And lots of pictures of them, and I like the one shown in that Hasegawa kit a lot, no idea if it is reality, could very well be, they were used in 1956... also like the camouflage pattern ones... so.. is what I will try to make.. The funny thing is also that these B17's were escorted by Arvia 199's, which was the Czech version of a Messerschmitt Bf109, the same plane that were attacking these Flying Fortresses during WW2.. And for a certain Swiss planes loving member of this site, another unexpected version...

Also found a picture of the decalset of that Hasegawa version.. That shouldn't be to hard to do..
