Well to get my mojo back I’ve been working on this behind the sciences in conjunction with Dale doing his Pz IV. I’ve got pretty much to the ready to get the primer out stage so some pictures later. So far it’s been a fairly painless build and although the kit has obviously taken some of the ideas from the older Cromwell kit it’s very much a modern one. One of the things I really like is that with the link-and-length tracks the middle roller has a square pin on it so you can get the alignment of the top length correct. It’s kinda minor but it is thinking of the modeller. Now where’s my Halfords primer!

Great stuff jabbly.
I noticed the pin on others Tamiya models, too.

I've been eying this kit up for a potential build myself. Looks superb, much easier to build than the Bronco one.

Looking good, and without a doubt it's more fun than the Bronco kit which I did years ago. The rear deck for example was a sh*t fit with gaps on both sides.

Pete/Armorguy, it’s a nice kit although one of my possible criticisms is the handles on the read deck are moulded on. I also had a problem fitting the axels for the idlers which just wouldn’t go in. Overall though I do like it.

And some primer. Now for a mix to get something that’s a ‘correct green’. I thought I had some olive drab but no so I’ll go for olive green and use buff to lighten it up in stages to do my normal three different shades. And then wheel painting.

Looking good Jase . I might just get my Bronco kit out and have some fun, but that'll be after the next surprise I have in store

Isn't it a satin bronze green for the main colour? Look forward to seeing it?

Oh and I do have to try and use up some of my stock of various shades of green.

Looking good Jase . I might just get my Bronco kit out and have some fun, but that'll be after the next surprise I have in store ( I have a bit of a soft spot for the Comet as it was a decent tank, well would have been if it had been introduced a couple of years earlier, and then was almost immediately made obsolete by the Centurion.

Looking rather tidy in primer I was so pleased that Tamiya released one as I’ve toyed with the idea of getting the Bronco one but wasn’t sure I’d enjoy building it.
