Very kind of you Ian and appreciate ya stoppin` by .........it`s taxing on the patience on occasions
Ok chaps......a bit more
800+ pieces later and 100+ of etch and about 2 foot of cable we arrive at this..............
Interior is pretty basic but good enough for what shows once the roof is on.........seats are dry fit at the mo and there are no ferkin` dash decs , the front grab rail was scratched.......the kit one was one long length of thick plastic with a bend at each end!!, ref pics show this as 3 seperate pads, i used some soft brass wire and then cut 6 x 1 cm lengths of 1.2mm shrink tube......positioned the first 3 and shrunk them under heat, i then laid the next layer over the top and shrunk that to make the small pads
More work has been done on the cab, some etch and stuff, doors fitted and the front bumper has been finished with it`s etch and such like. i primed the innards coz i gotta do that first before i can button it up..........you can see the innards are suitable enough once the lid is on and once painted it should be good enough.
Another unneeded issue is the mirror mounts............the kit ones were ferkin` dreadful!!!!!!! , so they are WIP at the mo.....i think they look okay personally.....i just copied the kit ones shape. I`m just working on how to make up a small mount for the mirrors.........all feckin` 4 of `em
Cheers folks.......90% finished build wise so should hit primer soon

Boots looks like you're enjoying this fella . Despite the issues you are sure having fun, if you wasn't the "brick of doom" would have hit by now . Stick at her dude, and go get a 'ski to renew your nerves

Ski is in hand as we type Cheers mate......to be honest i think i found my comfort zone , since doing the M26 tractor which was one of my all time fav builds i`ve just enjoyed the heavy machinery scene with these big trucks......the ability to take a not so up to date kit or even a modern day one and just add all the detail stuff to liven it up with a bit of free reign thrown in is enjoyable. I always said to myself that one day i would do one big build so this kinda warrants the attention .There are a couple more plans in the pipeline but as and when pocket money permits More ski

I think the word "complex" covers it Mark . You handled this build very well .

Steve,Carl, Guybro, and Pete.............thanks fellas Steve.....`er NO!! Nuncie Carl...........don`t ya mean `Bonkers` Guy....hope so fella..lets see how many of those parts are still on there after the next stage Pete....i gotta say i`m lovin` this despite it`s niggling issues, i`m quite surprised i`ve got as much done as i have in a short space of time......should get this primed tomorrow which means the build will be complete Ok......a tad more Build done awaiting primer for the deck, the cab has been done as you can see but i can`t fit it altogether just yet.......also the plumber can go home , the last after the pipework is done..........i wasn`t happy with the spindly plastic air line support bracket so i decided to scratch a new one which was a bit wider at the top to allow for the airlines etc and also as it`s brass it is more likely to get knocked orfe rather than snapped .........the remaining airlines were done using 1.2mm shrink tube heated down over 0.8mm soft wire, this allows me to shape the hoses instead of having springy moments .........the inner wire also stops the hollow tubing from creasing on the bends, i`ve deliberately left them long for the mo.........i`ll cut/adjust when the trailer gets attached , i have also finished off the mirrors and the new mounts have turned out ok i reckon
Ive also done the cab steps and bumper ends......these can`t go on until the cab innards are finished
Cheers all
