There's so much to see at your hobbybench, too much as I can barely process it. The Flakvierling, the Tiran 6,...I'm speechless.

Back up to speed,I see. That's weird about the seatbelts. What's up with that, you figure?

Back up to speed,I see. That's weird about the seatbelts. What's up with that, you figure? It's a weird plastic, close to vinyl , very soft, malleable . Sort of rubberized plastic.
I tried Tamyia, then CA glue.
A friend told me to use Gorilla Glue, but I can't find it here. I'll try Revell Contacta , if nothing works that's fine...well I will leave the doors & hatches closed on this one so... bummer.
After working on A-Model kits... nothing is a problem / issue ... it's all good !

Maybe a strange suggestion, but how about hot glue? I have used that on those vinyl tracks..

Hi fellas,
Small update today, worked on A-Model Yak-27 R ( check Cold War thread Recon Birds ) and Dornier 26,
I added some of the clear parts on several little windows and vision ports, still a few to add before closing up the fuselage. The instructions have you to add these from the outside...don't do it. Add them from the inside, the clear parts are too big, rugged, the holes are also not the same size, need to be cleaned up..so you either do it like I did..... or spend a whole week trying to match the sizes between the clear parts and the holes, trimming, cutting, cleaning and maybe you get it right. I'm not that perfectionist I admit.. i know these A-Model kits, sooner or later will break my will and my mojo..
With these kits if I can make it look like a decent aircraft, it's already a major win for me.

Maybe a strange suggestion, but how about hot glue? I have used that on those vinyl tracks.. I don't know... these seat belts are so thin and small... they might be damaged.. I don't know. I'll work on the interior bits and will think about what to do with those seat belts
Thanks for the suggestion Bert !

For such small windows on those aircraft, I would just use window cement and make the windows after painting.

Painstaking, but grand progress on that Dornier

Painstaking, but grand progress on that Dornier Thanks Paul !! I really like the looks / shape of this Dornier, but I only seen this version with A-Model. They really go the extra mile with such different subjects but those short run kits aren't for everyone skill / mojo I admit.., sometimes it's frustrating . Not that much with this Dornier, the Yak kits are worst than this one.

Today's work,
Tiran 5, I started the weathering with some pin wash on the top hull and turret. I will need a few more sessions.
Cougar 6x6, some work here too.
Miniart T-44 M, some work here too, still a lot of work ahead.
KP Su-7 BM, Warsaw Pact version. I continued the masking.
The thin masking borders from KP mask are hardly visible. I used Tamyia masking tape and Liquid Mask from AK to fill the middle parts.
That's it for today.

The Tiran is looking sharp, John! Would Micro Kristal Klear solve your Dornier window issues? Just dispense with the kit port hole pieces, entirely?
