Good afternoon,
As with all plane's the office comes first. The kit tub is light on detail and no dec's for the sides or IP, so quick order for an Eduard cockpit set. This is how things look currently. IP
Side panels Ejector seat
Pulled together
And dry fit test
As ever, not a lot will be visible but, all builds to date have been open cockpit, and the same will apply with this, so more will be visible than not. All comments welcomed and more soon. Tim

Nothing wrong with that cockpit and nicely painted too. I built Kinetic's F84F Thunderstreak last year, which was a great kit to build too. Have fun.

The decals for the blue flashes are little on the large size and do not conform to the basic shapes covered. So a little alchemy (paint mixing) and this is what I came up with. Hopefully not too far from the decals. The fuselage one might be problematic, worst case scenario spray them and just use the yellow and black stripes on their own. Have to wait and see on that. The decals look like this,
hopefully a good match on the colour front. Especially as it will darken under a "Klear" coat. More soon. Tim

Well, as the title says the "Stripes" are on. Decided to apply the fuselage decals and hope for the best and am happy with how things went. Slightly out on the blue, but as my mother used to say "a blind man would be pleased to see it" More soon as... Tim
