Lovely, and it's only the primer. The Gernan grey is ideal as a base coat.

Thank immensely my dear chaps . Jeff, no that isn't the first time I have used this. I have used loads of times, but for some reason it was getting hard to grab hold of. So when I saw some the other week, I snatched 3 cans of the stuff . 10 minutes ago I finished spraying the S.C.C.15, inside my room . I used AK Real Color SCC15 no. RC 037, lacquer paint. Holy moly does that stuff stink . Thankfully it dries in record time, it's now already touch dry. But before I continue I shall let it cure over night and maybe go back in tomorrow with a lightened mix for some highlights

Okay, as I said earlier the head of the figure I wish use had a blow in it. Well, I was wrong, it has/had three of them. Here is how I filled them, I think it has worked out . Firstly I drilled the holes out to 0.4mm Ø Secondly, I filled the holes with stretched sprue Thirdly, I chopped the sprue of very close to the surface and added three very small drops of cyano. Lastly, after the cyano had dried, I gently sanded the fillers smooth.

Guy, Tommy, cheers mushties . Okay then, I looked at the paint job today and decided it was way too olive drab like . So I went trolling around the web looking for info and anything Mike Starmer. I found what I needed, I also found something saying Mr. Starmer was a tad annoyed with the AK Real Color mix . Apparently they had been in contact and Mr.S sent them the info they needed.... which AK ignored. Anyhow, I checked my paint stash and found what was recommended for a Tamiya mix of S.C.C 15 XF81 - 5 parts XF58 - 1 part XF71 - 1 part Here's the result. It's much greener and is my eye certainly more fitting . For the upper surfaces I added a couple of drops of XF60.

Cheers Boots . You can find the mixes easy enough on the web. The only problem is, do you have the right colours at home . I know the Tamiya colours I have, are those which haven't been re-formulated. I think that is why this mix is called the new mix, well that's what they say on Britmodeller .
