Jeff, Guy, cheers muchly mushties . Today I have started painting the stowage stuff, and also here is a tale of Olive Drab . I used three different paints for the OD coloured bits, Tamiya, Vallejo and Mission Model. I have never witnessed so many different interpretations of this colour . The wooden ration boxes, wooden box, metal ammo box, tracks and spare wheel were picked out with Tamiya and Vallejo paints, some brushed, some sprayed . Next will be the tools and after that, the camnets will get a dry brush of something greenish

Sounds like a plan my friend. And the stowage adds so much to a Sherman.

Paul----the top coat looks awesome and great work on the stowage. I encountered the same paint problem with S.C.C. 15 on the Mk. Ic years ago. I used an off the shelf version (can't remember who but not what you used) and it was far too olive drab in color. I ended up having to use a paint mixture similar to your concoction and it worked fine. Seems like some of these paint companies struggle with a good S.C.C. 15 hue.

Jeff, Tommy, Ian, thanks muchly muckers . And yes you are all correct about the paint, the colour will change again anyway . Today, or to be more precise, this evening, I started working on the details. The tools, gun cleaning rods, fire extinguishers, tarp straps camnet have been attended to . I have also painted the the tyres of the running gear and started working on the commander dude .
