Still have the turntable, as well. Along with some great vinyl to put on it. And let me tell you a funny vinyl story. So my wife had a rare vinyl version of " In Through the Out Door", and it was actually autographed by the members of Led Zeppelin. So she had this Papillion dog---kind of like a French Chihuahua. The dog ate the album----I was speechless. That record goes for like 7000--9000 USD on eBay. Ouch! Dog for sale...

Silhouette looks good to me AG, bring on the water! Thank you Steve, there's a bit more work before I get to the water department (I admit I can hardly wait to start). This morning U-99 was attacked with another super thin coat of German grey xf-63 with a drop of x-22 cClear added to it. Next is the masking of the waterline and the airbrushing of mists of Ocean grey xf-66 + gloss clear x-22. Although it's a tiny thing I want to enhance the contrast.

Bert, Boots, Ian, thanks guys. Today is a fruitful day as I carefully masked the thing and airbrushed on the xf-66. Next to do is further brushpainting the deck bits and bobs. Fun guaranteed.

Thanks chaps, the masking was more time consuming than the paintjob so far.

It may be hardly visible, the upper hull details were drybrushed with the very tip of a fine, soft brush. I did some experimenting with Winsor & Newton water colours too. Instead of a dark oil wash I applied heavily thinned blue-ish black for nooks and crannies. Tomorrow I'll spray on a Clear coat, then the decals will be added, another Clear coat for sealing them.
