I made some progress on the Easy Eight. The suspension and tracks were completed and mounted on the vehicle and assembly was trouble free. The Tamiya "rubber tracks" feel different than previous kits and I was actually able to use cement to join them which was convenient. I then did some more post shading and highlighted the panel lines and recessed areas with Tamiya Smoke. I laid a Gloss Coat on this morning so decals and weathering will be next. Best wishes everybody!!! Ian

Thanks everybody! I got some gloss varnish on the Sherman and the decals for "C" Squadron from the Strathconas were applied. The Star Decals laid down fine with no issues at all so now it will be time for the fun part------weathering, mud and pigments. Best wishes, Ian

Thanks for the kind words, everybody. I have decided to add figures to the project so I found some suitable ones in the spares box. I needed crewmen with berets, headsets and basic field jackets to match the Canadian tankers I saw in the photos. These seem to fit the bill so I will go with these. I believe these are old Tamiya figures because they are molded in the glossy dark olive color. I got them primed so painting to follow. Best wishes, Ian
