Thank you for your ever encouraging words. Tomorrow I'll pick up de sharp brushes for some serious micro paintwork. More items will be added as well, for example a couple of heavy beams, these will be put under the tracks to immobilize the Panther on the flatbed. Dirt, oil and fuel spills on the wood...the grindbed and the sleepers need much more attention. This is my personal favourite part of the hobby. So much more to come.

Thanks for jumping by mates. Today the grindbed was given more shades and tomorrow a wash will add more contrast. Dry medium high grasses will be glued in too... De sleepers will be treated soon. Best regards !

Thank you chaps. To get the sleepers' worn wood look multiple steps need to be taken and it'll consume the coming hours. I'm using oils so drying time between different steps is important.

Paul, boots, thanks. I've applied a dark wash to make the textures of the sleepers more visible. I didn't wash them completely as things need to dry a bit longer.

ah yeah, the thing which is impossible to remove once it gets onto your clothes Nicely done mate, how did you achieve the effect? Hey Woutje, I mixed black pastel powder + graphite + AK transparent gel to achieve the effect. It was applied with a fine brush and rubbed with a toothpick.
